CAMPS, TRAINING and AFTER SCHOOL
Helping Youth Prepare Effectively (HYPE)
This six-week summer program trains students to become positive role models for the next generation. Academic enrichment in Reading & Math, development and recreational activities and the use of healthy relationships/social skills help further develop their character, maturity and vocational awareness. Students explore “real world” opportunities through guest speakers and field trips every week.
Train the Trainer
Designed for individuals, schools and organizations who wish to make a difference in the lives of young people. Participants will gain professional development and learn how to build and sustain capacity for the field of character-based education. Sessions will train participants in: basic curriculum, how to present a workshop, and how to build capacity.
Success Express After-School Program (New for Fall 2008)
UFC extended day youth development enrichment programs provide recreation, social and educational activities among teenagers. A variety of positive, healthy and interesting activities strengthen adolescents’academic skills in Reading and Math, physical, intellectual, emotional and social well being, while supporting and fortifying the family. The program structure is a free-flowing diversity of group mentoring community and family activities.
