Donate a MATCHING GIFT! Matching Funds for Mentoring Children of Prisoners Grant Funded by The Department of Health & Human Services, The Administration for Children and Families |
November 4, 2009 Dear Friend and Supporter: We’re pleased to announce that Urban Family Council has received funding for its Mentoring Children of Prisoners Program for 2009-2010. UFC will partner with 18 local congregations, five community agencies, and two training organizations to serve children ages 4 to 18 over a period of three years. Project objectives are:
Part of our commitment is to match non-Federal share of this Project cost in the amount of $54,000 for year 1, in accordance with section 439(e) of the Social Security Act. Therefore, we’re asking you to help us out with a tax-deductible donation for the Mentoring Children of Prisoners Program. We look forward to whatever support you can provide, and please also check for matching funds through your employer or United Way Campaign (UFC's Donor Choice number is 8393).
