LEADERSHIP
Leading By Example (LBE)
Middle and high school youth, college students and adults of any age review different definitions of character and develop a positive definition that would be healthy & beneficial to their lives. They challenge one another in the evaluation of how well their present behavior matches their ideal behavior of a person of character. Workshops can be held at schools, youth-serving community centers, or at UFC's educational facility.
Choosing Character
With the aid of songs, role-playing, videos, storytelling and puppets, students in Kindergarten through third grade focus on attributes of character such as respect, kindness, honesty, obedience to parents, self-control, and responsibility.
Conflict Resolution
Addresses the root causes of conflict. Topics include: Choices and Consequences, Anger Management, Healthy Relationships, Goal-setting, Character and Self Image, Friendship and The Impact of the Media.
Helping ex-Offenders Prepare Effectively (HOPE)
Identifies and helps ex-offenders overcome multiple challenges related to convictions, including restricted access to housing and public assistance. One-on-one and group mentoring helps clients foster relationships with family members, and other issues that may impede reintegration into the community.
Parent Leadership University (PLU)
Focuses on developing and enhancing leadership among parents, as well as increasing communication between schools, parents and their surrounding communities.

The power of change…do you have what it takes?
Change takes place in our lives when we begin to change how we think. More individuals live lives of broken promises, missed opportunities, shattered dreams and disappointments because they fail to change their mindset. Changing your circumstances or destiny is impossible without first changing the way you think.
George Washington Carver said, “No individual has any right to come into this world and go out without leaving behind him distinct and legitimate reasons for having passed through it.”
What will your legacy be? Without change, you may never know. Here are some keys to becoming a person willing to change:
Create: a new mindset
Humility: be humble and remain teachable
Aware: be aware of how your decisions impact your life and others’
Never: never settle for mediocrity; strive for excellence.
Giving: understand that selfishness is not a healthy way of life; use wisdom and don’t be afraid to give of yourself
Endurance: understand that change takes commitment over a period of time; it will not happen over night; or just because you want it to
