Building Healthy Families (BHF)
An age-appropriate, character-based, leadership and health curriculum for youth in grades K-12, parents, and college age adults. Urban Family Council staff and volunteers provide these services in public and private schools, community groups, and various faith institutions. The program is divided in to several section or units which include: Leadership; Specialized Services; Abstinence Until marriage; Camps, Training and After School; and Special Events and Workshops. Graduation ceremonies, tea parties, and field trips are scheduled at the close of some of our educational programs. Throughout the year, however, UFC holds several fundraising and awareness events namely: Annual Spring Fundraising Gala, Fall Fundraising Luncheon, and Back to School Rally.
